    Hi
Got a question regarding an idle setting on drla’s..Im still not quite sure about how many progression holes are supposed to be exposed to the manifold at idle?..remember reading somewhere that the first progression hole should be half exposed half shut by the throttle plate?..how does it look like on your setups guys?..dont have dellorto book so only guessing..[IMG]

  2. From memory you set the gap with a 3 thou feeler

  3. I'd ignore the progression holes (and the Dell book) and set the throttle plates to the thinnest feeler you've (1 thou). Too much gap will give you too high an idle speed when you're trying to set the carbs up. If the engine stumbles, open the plates out a bit. You're going to change the gap while balancing the carbs anyway.

  4. 1 thou is only .025 mm or 25 microns .

  5. I went with the recommended 3 thou, and I was idling at 1,500 rpm ;). Trial and error...
