Hello all hope all is well . I had to use the headlights this morning and my dash lights are not working . The strange things is my rev volt and water gauge lights work just not the miles and aux gauge . Where do I start and if it's bulbs what ones are best Thanks Simon
I managed to get at the bulbs without dismantling anything. Have a good cushion to lie on! The little bulbs are fairly standard. Someone will give you the spec.
As above.. the dimmer is the actual light knob you pull it rotates to adjust dash light brightness. Your gauge lights are prob just wired off a different feed so on or off, you can add them to the dash lights but be careful of loose ends.. Or you'll fry the lot! Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
Probably dont want to add more filament bulbs to the dimmer as one reason all the instrument lights go out is the dimmer burns out with extra load. So the lights only come on if you set it to full.
Thanks for the info . The dash lights use to work with the turn of the knob . Only now they are not . Where will I start to look . Pull the knob and the headlights come on . Will check in the morning if it's dark enough. Water temperature gauge I have a radiator as I am part of the dark side
I’ve noticed that my dash lights (the two bulbs on the white with red striped wire) are connected to the wrong terminal on the light switch (that or the wiring diagram is wrong). And they were not working even though the bulbs are ok. This ^ might explain why. More investigation tomorrow!
