had a stroke a while back , no big deal, it wasn"t massive, doc signs me off work pending further medical checks, ive spent a thick wedge and 2 hours on phone TRYING to establish some sort of s.s. claim to keep me going financially for a while, on a scale of 1 to 10 , what you think my poss.chance of success was? i swear, sheer bloody mindedness kept me on that phone! pity them that cannot stick with said phone calls, i know this is a camper forum , but ......rant, moan etc etc..... 6th richest nation in Europe , eh?
Blimey your accents strong i heard they want to stop anyone who hasn't paid in to the state funds from claiming benefit , i have paid in why can't my sons claim if they needed to ?. And if your ill they regard you as a scrounger :-
It's because in the world of Tory La-La Land anyone under the age of 25 has the option of living with their parents if they need to (and therefore doesn't need housing benefit) and anyone who matters has enough money not to need benefits. The whole routine of villanising anyone who needs social security assistance is getting tiresome.
Dont get me started on this Im now £120 a month down on tax credits and they reckon i owe them a fourtune All because they say i should be paying tax on my war pension Errrm no i shouldent as its instead of compensation because the forces have crown immunity And the back to work initiatives the job centre do for people with illnesses proper sucks The best they could do for me was a volunteer job in a charity shop 40 miles away from home with no help towards transport costs
