Yes in a strict legal sense it is theft, typical bleating (31 year old) entitled father who should have thought a bit more before running to the press. The rest of us think a bit more of our mums than to stop and steal flowers at the last minute for them.

Its probably not the best use of police time, but at least these kids now, at least one would hope would not consider anything they see as theirs.

A man encourages his kids to take things that do not belong to them and a cop just talks to them to point that they cant just take flowers because the council planted them and that is in fact illegal. Waste of Police time for educating his kids and giving a moral compass?
Guarantee that if the cop ignored this and drove past an member of public would complain about lack of police action.
Let's face it, the man was a Mansfield snafu who videoed it after saying 'I pay our wages'. He just didn't want to pay for the flowers for his estranged wife but then, who would.

No sympathy...round here they steal the whole plant/s and anything else though to be fair complete lavender bushes are more likely to be Pikeys.

Maybe Heather was involved, just didn't see her. The theft of the lavender was a shock though...must have used a digging implement to do it.

 

And don't forget the farmer, the picker the packaging maker, the delivery driver and shop staff that are all out of a job and can't afford to feed their own kids because they stole the flowers rather than buy
