Compressor fridge - which one?

  1. Got a cr50 from CAK TANKS (yes really) last year for £399 inc vat, cheapest by about £40 at the time.

  2. Like a couple of others on here we bought £250 one from jk, had no trouble with it plus it fitted straight into the hole in the Westy where the old one was, got 12/240v as I didn't want to cut holes for gas breathers,
    Works well as long as you give it a head start by plugging into mains for a while before you leave ,

  3. Is that an absorption fridge rather than a compressor fridge though?

    this is what ive decided to get i think:{ i just cARNT MAKE MY MIND UP

    DOMETIC RC 2200 from amazon 230 quid chills to 30 abbient runs 12 volt gas and hook up
    40 litres its a chest fridge thou
     
  5. That's an absorption cooler and will chew the battery when running on the leisure battery parked up. Compressor fridges use much less power

    im going to run it on gas the same as my electrolux rc
