Clutch problems

Hmmm I wonder if this is why my clutch would only just get the van up my ramps. Lol. Is it supposed to be oil bathed?

 

If it's thick and smelly it's gearbox oil. If not it was the engine leaking

 

Yes it's certainly engine oil. I assume it's the crankshaft seal. Is there a way of cleaning up the friction plate or is it a bin job. It looks to be almost brand new.

 

Bin it. I think some have used brake cleaner but if it's been soaked in oil it's knackered

You can heat them up with a blow torch and burn the oil out
