Clutch problem??

  1. Could there be a problem with my clutch or thrust bearing?
Noise when it's stationary, it goes wh clutch depressed, but driving it's making a hell of a noise!
Will take a video tomorrow but it's annoying the hell out of me now and I'm supposed to be going to lincoln in the bus in two weeks time :(
@zed, I may be calling in on you when I'm on rest days Thursday or Friday mate if you're about?

  2. My mini did that just before the bearing seized :(

  3. I'm thinking it's the thrust bearing or assembly and maybe not the gearbox now but need to get a proper opinion. Obviously need someone to look at it first but that means driving it there. Hopefully it won't seize on route!!

Sounds like thrust bearing to me D. I may have one here.

  6. It's the same problem, unfortunately hasn't disappeared on its own so I'm going to have to pull the engine mate. You about?

  7. That'd be great fella, haven't searched for parts or prices yet, see what zeds upto first ;)

  8. Sounds like the bearing - my wife's bus did this for years and finally gave up the ghost when I pulled onto the garage forecourt for an engine upgrade which was amazing and very fortunate!
