Hi, does anyone know where I can get a replacement boot for my clutch release lever (on the gearbox) it’s a convoluted rubber boot with a metal insert that goes round the clutch fork shaft and covers the end of the brass bush on the shaft.
    Cheers

I know, but is it the convoluted rubber boot that @smeato is looking for?:)

Well, there's no metal insert...unless its got one of the Weddle clutch fork support bearings fitted which are just a brass collar which deletes the need for the gland seals!
Hopefully we'll get to see soon

If that's what you need and you're not desperate, I'll be putting an order in early in the new year and can tag one on for you

much appreciated but I don’t think that’s the one I need- mine is a 74 bus. I think the old one is in the bin in my garage- I’ll have a rummage around and see if I can post a photo of it…..

ive found the old one- it does kind of look like the one in your post- it doesn’t have a convoluted bit after all- I must have dreamed that bit….. if you don’t mind adding another one to your order I would appreciate it, no panic, just pm me when you have it.
    Cheers

I believe it's purpose is to stop the spring creaking.

Yea it’s more a guide bush for the spring than a boot to stop dirt getting in as I first thought- it has a rubbery coating on it which has mostly come adrift on mine which is why it appeared to be a rubber boot with metal insert on first inspection…
