Clutch friction plate LUX or Sachs

  1. I’m after a 215 friction plate . (For the 914 ) cheapest 911 Sachs one is around £200 + or GSF do a LUX one for £30
    ( listed as VW and 914 1.6-2.0 )

    Ideas ?

  2. £30 for just a friction plate seems ok-ish to me. £200 is ridiculous. Are they the same part?

  3. physically yes ....one is listed for Porsche, one is listed for VW both 215 Ø with 24 teeth spline and one is Sachs... cheaper one is Lux .

The funny thing is GSF have used the same picture as design911.com `s Sachs one but obscured the writing and list it as LUX .

    I think its more like £213 + vat + post .....

Is the Sachs new and the LUX refurbished?

So far so good with a cheap GSF Lük 215mm clutch on my bus. 25k miles since April 2015.
Both brands are major clutch manufacturers. Probably find the Lük is a standard fit on some current vehicles as well as an ACVW while the Sachs is not as common.
