Clock - What are the Connections?

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by Owen Snell, Jul 24, 2013.

  1. My clock's not working. I've got 12V to the centre connection on the back. There are 2 other connections at the top of the outer and to one side. Both have different wires running to them, but they are also linked (or the top connection is a double side by side spade, which I can't really see.

Can anyone tell me what the connections should be so I can test please?

  3. Thanks. There's a different link in Ratwell too - looks like it'll have to come out if I'm going to get anywhere with it.

  4. The outer connection is the earth. The connection at the top will be to the bulb holder to illuminate it when the side lights are on.

  5. So the 2 outers shouldn't be linked together then!

  6. No! Did you connect them to the instrument lights?

  7. I didn't wire it, will check tomorrow.

  8. Just looked, instrument lights work fine.

  9. Good. If you'd have accidently grounded the instrument light line, the fuse would've popped. Unfortunately, the fuse is the track of the instrument light dimmer :( ...
