I've found Gunk works. Take off your lower tins and drive it to your nearest jet wash, spray on the Gunk from a kitchen spray bottle and hose off with the wheel wash lance. To be really thorough take out the foam strip and do the top as well but keep away from electrics and cardboard concertina tubes. I used to like the old Gunk that smelled of our local coking plant. It's different these days.
I like autoglym engine degreaser. Works well, smells good and is biodegradable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
About as much as the other half with you doing it on the drive, the other half will still be moaning a week later, you can drive away from the garage ha ha ha
I took the engine case and all the big ancilliaries to the jetwash laid them out in the bay and spraued them with degreaser cleaned them there. Garage car wash water collection systems have all the oil,/petrol separators built in so better than doing at home. Gave it a second kersher blast at home too bit hard to do that with it still in the van though...
