My Tiger Cub restoration is progressing and we have now started to look at the engine. Good compression, selects gears, feels smooth so tempted to give it a go without a strip down. Anyone know how I can flush the engine through, bearing in mind its a dry sump!!
Ahhh - the lovely Tiger cub ... Just fill the oil tank with the cheapest oil money can buy and connect the return pipe from the engine to a suitable catch tank / old oil tub . Turn engine over WITHOUT a sparkplug and pump the oil through the engine , running the system as total loss . When you feel brave enough reconnect the oil lines correctly and start the motor - hopefully all will be well Another option is an inline oil filter ...
