i was given one of those brake bleed kits that work off your tyre but when i came to use it there was really manky old fluid and crud in it and round the pipe ends. whats best to clean it up before use? white spirit, thinners, something like that? cheers,
Nothing like a swig of meths to set you up for bleeding brakes (a job I hate) . As fritt says, meths is the stuff for rinsing out your brake innards.
Dont forget to let the tyre down to 10 PSI unless you want the cab resprayed with brake fluid when something pops off....
