It seems they have all got upset at Camperjam headquarters and taken the tickets of sale , blaming it on all the bad mouth type comments
well i never - the better thing to do would be have been keep them on sale and deal with peoples complaints in an open and honest manner
I feel sorry for those that go that genuinely enjoy that show. It wasnt just the weather that caused the problems it was the beautiful setting it was in, hills around etc. etc. and the volume that came down in such a short time on an area covered in massive event tents stalls etc etc. The then surrounding ground then gets swamped you should always try to build your stalls, avents arenas etc next to a road with drainage and split them up so their not all together just stand next to a big tent and see how much water comes off it in one minute, i have its huge. People wont spend millions of pounds putting in drainage systems for freak weather that should not be happening in Summer ?? or the odd big event, look at the music festivals they are just the same. Its nobodies fault but the circumstances...................... end of really take the rough with the smooth move on.And this isnt a dig at anyone. Paying for camping is probably to help pay for the damage that is caused generally and on occasions like this ,it must have cost thousands to sort that out after??Seeing this really upsets me , every show i went too this SUMMER it peed at some stage of it or another but i made the most of it and had some fun too.its just very .
understand your comments barney BUT when a company that sells a product unfit for purpose or not complete as advertised does not recompense then people QUITE RIGHTLY can complain, if i buy summat from asda and it's crap i get a refund or replacement fact
Well we only made it as far as the hard shoulder of the M6 but I'm sticking my tuppence in anyhow. I think CJ are still completely side stepping the issue of why the event wasn't cancelled. They've referenced the fact that the site staff were getting sunburnt the week before. but have not mentioned the Amber Warnings given for the month's worth of rain that weekend that were being hugely circulated in the media from at least the Tuesday beforehand; what advice they they were given on the warning and weather in relation to the site before and during the weekend ; what the parameters for go ahead were; what the health & safety considerations were etc etc. This is why people are calling them greedy - they saw every other show being cancelled due to the appalling conditions - and yet the worst weather of the entire soggy summer was reserved for CJ and it still went ahead. Other event organisers weren't cancelling because it was a "bit wet" and people may not have so much fun - they were cancelling because they have a duty to ensure the health & safety of the attending public which is impossible in conditions like those. The sudden £10 increase which would probably have been accepted with minor grumbling in any other year now really feels like a kick in the teeth to a lot of the paying public, especially in the current economic climate where pennies are being pinched all round. That said, I'm still getting tickets if its on ^-^ >
