Chinese New Year

  1. Yesterday we had a visit from the Hung Gar Kung Fu School; they raise money at Chinese new Year to subsidise the rates they charge for lessons. At the moment it stands at £1.50 for a two hour lesson for kids. The people who run it do a fantastic job and the lion dances and acrobatics were amazing.

The children's reaction was wonderful and they paraded through the school making the loudest noise we have ever heard.

  9. That was the lions trying to wake Buddha up. You'll go to the equivalent of Buddhist hell for implying that he binge drinks and comes to school ratted :D

  10. The lions went down the line and tickled all the children. One of the parents said that it was very auspicious for the dragon/lions to touch you and she was in tears that both her boys had had that blessing. So much so she gave the kung fu master £40!!
