  1. Hii guys,

I'm on a very tight budget and have almost reached MOT stage of my camper's resto.
One thing i am not happy about is the ride height
The front sits alot higher than the back.

Is there a cheap way to drop the front. looks very high at the mo. not looking to slam it. just drop it abit

  2. I could be wrong but sticking dropped spindles on may help a lot. Not sure if they can be put on on their own or not. Someone will chip in soon

  3. Can you raise the back on the splines to match the front?

  4. You can fit beam adjusters about £120 for the adjusters plus getting them fitted, I've found ride is a bit harsh, I've just got dropped spindles they are about £350 ish but have not fitted them yet going to leave till later in the year.

Can you post a picture up?? Some buses do appear to sit bum heavy. Also can you measure or take a picture of the front bump stop??

  6. beam adjusters are the cheapest way, but not the best according to many.
Is your van a microbus? just asking to continue investigating my theory that saggy rear ends tend to be on microbuses because they had softer springs to give a more comfortable ride for passengers. ;D

  7. If your on a budget raise the rear a spline on the swing arms, only costs some time..swearing and the cost of a few pieces of studding and nuts.

  8. The front should sit higher than the rear. It goes down when you're sitting in it.

my van is loads higher front to rear but when me and the mrs sit in it the ride drops, we like cake very much.

  18. I wanted to drop the front of mine but then sat in a lowered bus for drive and nearly broke my spine when driving over a pebble.

Am sticking with stock height now. Cheapest option. Bag of sand in the front will do it

  19. Some buses do sit high with no-one in the front. Ours sits fairly level but, the brother in law's early was high at the front so, he lowered it with dropped spindles. He's happy with the hieght how ever, the tyres now catch the arches on bumpy ground.
If you've yet to MOT it do that first then see what lowering options are in your budget.
