We have wanted to visit Bolton Abbey for a while now and last week was the perfect time to go as Rhodes was cancelled.
We booked into Catgill Farm Camping and Glamping:

Its a great site set in a lovely location with great views all round, facilities spotless, the only downside was everyone seemed to be crammed in with little thought to others (it was obvious that the new to camping folk didnt understand space)!
I would suggest choosing Catgill when kids are at school!

That said the walk down to Bolton Abbey and up the Wharfe was brilliant...

    Our view from Major:

The hills glowed purple with the heather on top

As I said Bolton Abbey was great, lovely walks up the river, we managed Cavendish Bridge and back when a pot of tea and scones beckoned us!
