Carpet advice

  1. Hello just wondered where the place is for cab carpets online? I was thinking of getting some that have the edge to tuck into the arches but open to advice. I was going to buy from madmatz but they don’t have the tuck in kind but now wondering if they are bettter without them? Looking for a good fit dark grey / anthracite with black trim. Cheers

  2. Zed

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

I think the only ones that tuck in are the original style black rubber style ones.

  4. I agree with @Lardy, my Newton Commercial are still looking great after 8 years, top quality and tucks in nicely

  5. I got about 50% done. Some cutting needs doing on main cab floor. Very impressed with this so far.

  6. Looks good Llardy - but how do you mount the seat when the carpet is covering the runner rails ? are you having to cut the carpet and leave a raw edge (albeit one that'll be hidden under the seat) ?

  7. Looks very nice. Are they Newton Commercial door cards too? I was thinking of those for mine.

  8. Hi cards are from just Kampers . Fantastic fit and quality

  9. I’ve changed the seats on mine to Porsche 969 tombstones so there are 4 bolts holding the seat static. I couldn’t believe how well they fitted and the rubber edging which grabs the edge really finishes it off.

  10. Here’s a pic to give you a better idea how my seats are fitted. Perfect for me but anyone taller or shorter is done for!

  11. Belated reply - I see what you've done , did experiment with a pair of Saab seats which were lovely BUT being 6'1" tall, gave me a close up view of the edge of the sun visor and very little sight of the road ahead.

Sure there must be an obvious way to cut the carpets to fit - will just take my time so I don't need to buy a further set.
