Car tax

I think it's right that car tax goes up a fiver a year, is that correct?
If so, what's happens if you got a vehicle in tax band A, £0 per year. Will that rise to a fiver?

I imagine as they reduce the emission allowance you'll end up paying tax.

 

Or if your in the next bands ie paying £20 or £30 a year, does that go up every year?

Or is it just me who pays an extra fiver on my tax every year?! (I'm not in a cheap band though yet)

 

Ive just paid £230 for a year

 

My 7 seater 4x4 was £400-year, £240-6 months.
Last year I got the renewal and it was £240-year! same again this year.
I haven't phoned up to complain.

 

For your car I presume? Yikes, same as camper tax.
My cars "only" £145.

Move to France no fuel & road tax just fuel tax and the pump price is still good.

the increase on £5 is for pre 2001 vehicles, so next year my bay will be £235 the year, then £240 and on and on.....
