Yes. I think we used them a couple of years ago. Got no complaints. Turned out the car went to a garage that a mates husband worked at! Was good value for money too if I remember correctly.
Looks like a good idea and the price seems ok, but obviously they use local garages and theres a few of them round here i wont use
Has you got the appropriate Swedish qualifications (blond hair, naked sauna and baby oil dripping off yer nips) for doing volvos?! False alarm anyway! Thought it was odd as the service light on dash has been coming on but its only done 6500miles since we got it/it had early service, so they obviously didnt reset the indicator as it wasnt on at the time.
Mostly the moist nips bit, though if your heaters hot enough and @MrsVolkswombat is coming too we can have a sauna in the Volvo xx
i used to work for a garage that was a servicing stop repairer. they push the collection and delivery as they dont like to let on exactly where it's going. all the parts came from euro car parts in a box. the garage then has to report any faults to them, not the owner. they used to call up asking if we found any extra work etc. if the owner ever brought their car in and waited we werent allowed to discuss prices etc. i used to get asked what i would charge for that service, i just said that there were price boards around the reception but i would be in breach of my servicing stop contract if i discussed prices. we stopped doing it as it wasnt viable. for a minor service we would make about £40 and had to send 2 drivers and a car out to collect their car and deliver it back as there often wasnt any where to leave a car all day. get a price from them, go to your local garage and ask their price and see if they will match / better it
unfortunately @MrsVolkswombat wont do it, she will only do naked sauna at Southampton leisure centre, west quay road, at 8.30pm on thursdays!
Hmm this was pretty much the sort of scenario i was thinking of when i came across the website and why i asked!
Meanwhile, @volkswombat can be seen shaking his diggles at Shirley Pool on a regular basis @volkswombat would like me to clarify that Shirley Pool is an actual swimming venue. It is not the name of a lady who frequents docksides or truck stops. If he did do that, his diggles would be dog food!
one other thing, if the repair goes wrong your contract is with servicing stop not the repairing garage, so even if you know where it's gone you need to go back to servicing stop with any complaint.
