Capstones and Coping

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by snotty, Jun 17, 2023.

  1. No, not a firm of solicitors.

Looking for stuff to tart up our slightly wonky garden wall outside. Quite fancy Regency style stuff, as we're proper classy. Coping for the wall, caps for the 1 1/2 brick piers.

Any recommendations for suppliers? Been browsing Kobocrete's stuff, anyone else, pref in the Hants/Durzet area? @scrooge95 , know of anyone?

    All info welcome.

Are we talking Natural stone or Pressed concrete ?

  3. Concrete or reconstituted stone. Real stone would show the rather crappy wall up.

I’d go to your local garden center many stock plenty of different styles. This makes it easier to make a choice.

Don't make it too high or you won't be able to throw things over it.:D

Like the buggers going around the Mendips, nicking yards of the dry stone walls,to sell to the incoming Londonians, to make their gardens look more ‘Authentic’, here…

I think I saw them at the Shrewsbury Folk Festival. They played a load of songs off their seminal album, My Pewter Tankard’s Gone Missing (With a Fol de Rol)

Cant you get that stuff with rotating spikes on it ? Very classy. Or gravel mixed up with Sikaflex troweled on top ?

Sorry, no just thinking of the basic recipe for Coronation Chicken..

  10. Great band. "My Love's Maidenhead is Covered in Moss" is one of my favourites.
