I have just heard a labout front bencher on Newsnight say that he is against an election now cos nativity plays may be cancelled due to village halls being used as polling stations!!

  2. Wasn’t miss ab ooot was it , since how long did one polling day cause havoc with nativity plays that could be on any night in December or before

Barry Haynes I dance in leopard skin mankini’s

    Oh no he didnt:p:p

  4. Should cancel both, IMO. Politics is all about choosing which knife you want to be stabbed with and religion is just one woman’s lie about having an affair that’s got terribly out of hand.

put on a showing of Pulp Fiction at every village hall for the kids instead, teach ‘em some real lessons.

Let the toadies sort their own mess out I say. This is what you get when you never really had a majority and decide on having a referendum that would divide the country.

  6. Combining an election with a school nativity play at least gives the rare possibility of electing a wise man:thumbsup:

Why are they always trying to hold these important decisions on bank holidays or festive days? Some sort of smoke screen to make people not concentrate properly?

I can't see that would be a problem for a labour MP. He can just write to the church asking for an extension and hold the nativity play sometime in the new year. A liberal democrat would just scrap the play altogether.

  10. In 2015 the referendum was supported by both sides of the house with 544 MPs voting in favour and only 53 voted against. The Lib Dems (2007) were the first main stream party to campaign for a in/out EU referendum, within their manifesto they did so again in 2010 and 2015, four year later and they have changed their position but then Swinson's husband works for some big EU funded body.

Doesn’t matter how you try to wrap it up it’s the Toadies mess.

Doesn’t really matter if you believe what they purported we’re all going to be so much better off and everything will be hunky dory after we leave. Roll on the good times

I’d rather the toadies sort their own mess. Think I might even vote for them myself this time

Good move, may avoid a degree of disappoint.

  17. I think you missed my point perhaps it was too subtle.

No. I’ve re read it and the subtlety is lost on me. You can’t educate us thick lorry drivers with subtlety perhaps we see too much of the blunt end you’ll have to excuse my stupidity. :(

Btw, when I refer to the toadies I’m referring to the Tory ministers and their cabinet etc not Tory voters. Everyone is entitled to their opinion
