yes mate ,I have put a little post note saying don`t forget to get a replacement I don`t want to take everything off the pickup...

anyone know the reason the primer will not fill ? [another strimmer]there is a diafram under the pump but it looks ok....the ball never fills but it does pump a bit...

 

The ball is the pump they rot and stop working sometimes they leak sometimes not, most strummer type things have that pipe on um

 

I put the ball in my mouth sucked the air out and it stuck to my tongue I think the ball is ok...

time for more experimenting...

Either diaphram shot or the reeds, both in the carb. Can get a replacement kit if its a Stihl, as for other makes I don't know if you can get a kit. Try starting it laid on the flat with the petrol cap cracked open, be careful, may be a blocked breather. Pipe ll be ok
