The Good Life and that thing with Wendy Craig in were like comedy series made by Waitrose.

 

Earlier godawful “whimsical” comedy about a middle class unfulfilled housewife, unappreciated by her two sons and husband, and courted by a rather pathetic lovelorn idiot who is driven around in a Roller by a chauffeur who dispenses pearls of wisdom to his employer. Mirth most certainly doesn’t ensue, again

 

I know Rich, I love it. Proper saucy British humour (Allo Allo obviously, not the others)

Ones that have passed the test of time are Graham Linehan's stuff. The man's a genius. Father Ted and the IT Crowd haven't dated at all.

Spot on. He was supposed to be working on a Father Ted musical with Neil Hannon (the Divine Comedy), the fella who wrote My Lovely Horse . Don’t know if that has been shelved or is still in the offing.
