Did 125k in my little C2...and then gave it to my daughter as a first car ....one of the nicest cars I've ever had. Back on subject my wife's 54 plate Yaris needed the clutch depressing...so not just newer cars.
I got down on my knees and spoke directly to the clutch pedal. I told it the history of a certain London Blue and white football team. . Can't say if it helped the starting, but it was certainly depressed when I finished. I'm not helping I know!
GSTQ is usually sung in G major. However, it would be perfectly acceptable to sing it in C major but a minor key is a no-no (unless you are trying to start a Morris Minor).
You guys are mad. If you go pressing the clutch pedal unnecessarily in an old VW, it could break, then where would you be?
My stick wiggles in first. Which is why I rammed the garage wall last year starting up . Now I always depress the clutch (sob).
At least you won't do it again, My mate, opened the door of his vectra, in the winter turned the key to warm up the car... it fired up... was in gear... went through the closed garage door , from the outside... only stopped going through the the back wall as it mounted a pile of logs.. It dragged him with it.... He was lucky not to get injured.. I think he depresses the clutch now..
major, minor. tell you what. This sounds wrong..... should be in F minor....sooo wrong. this will annoy the carp out of you!
