Spoke to my sister just now for you, shes never heard of it , and says no, but they do get alot of skin disorders ie itching etc. She is very doggy and moves in those circles so to speek : ;D. Run the symptoms up on vet forum or something ,this may give you what your after. Good luck hope dog is better soon.
It's an human autoimmune response and linked to the herpes simplex virus that can turn to shingles later in life. Dogs can't get it.
