As the title suggests. I am having starter issues and the new one I bought from Heritage isn't working (it might be wiring but I have yet to diagnose fully). I wanted to get the old Bosch one I took off reconditioned as a spare anyway but haven't done it yet. Tried google but am struggling to find anywhere that still does it. Recommendations of companies that do the old school thing of taking your old unit and refurbishing it would be very welcome
At one time their was a Bosch place just off the Pentagon Island, near Peugeot - close to that petrol station
There is a auto elecy guy ...unfortunately can't remember his or the company name off Alfreton rd on Haslams lane right under the old Victorian chimney near the Derventio brewery ...maybe worth a try . I got a recon tranny starter off him seemed quite reasonable
Yes iam pretty sure that's the name . I got the impression he did up electrical component's ....well he said there was nothing he could do with my tranny starter . He is right under the foot of the chimney . Cheers Ewan .
