Can anyone find a front inner kickpanel?

Hi all,

My kickpanel is knackered, does anyone know where I can get a replacement one? I've seen Alan Schofield used to have one http://www.alanhschofield.com/ourpa...VERY-DATE-CURRENTLY-EXPECTED-211805331DB.html but it's out of stock and can't trace any other suppliers?

Any suggestions much appreciated

awesome thanks, just checked their website and they actually have a load of other bits I could do with, even if they don't have the kickpanel I may still end up spending some money ha ha!

 

They weren’t particularly available when lots of panels were, I think less so now

 

Thought so. I’m only finding hints that they used to be available rather than any still being around today. Thanks for looking!

Just heard back from FBIVW but sadly they don’t have any either. Looks like I’ll have to do it the hard way.

Yeah you’re probably right. I’m sure I’ll be able to make something up if I can’t source a good one, I just don’t want to end up with too much of a bodge if I can avoid it.

Ours wasn’t as bad as yours but if you do it in small sections it is doable. Leave the valance in place if you can as a reference point.

I lost all my pics from photo bucket other wise i could show you mine looks like origanl but its not hard to make a new one

Thanks @JamesLey I had seen your section in the rebuild thread and have been studying it to work out how to do mine. unfortunately not only has the flat join to the valance rusted away but a previous repairer has cut out vast sections of the upright bit as well.

I'm coming to the conclusion that the only way is to make do and mend, I'll just have a go at making it in various small sections . What I don't like are all the tricky ridges and bends in it but I'll just have to experiment. Good suggestion about leaving the valance in place though for alignment!

Shame your photos have gone @womball it always helps to see how others have done it .
