Replaced the campingaz flow valve on my bottle recently. Thought I'd read the VERY small print on the packaging of the new genuine part and was surprised to see it says not for use in caravans and motor homes. That's useful!
Probably melts and fails a safety test used in caravan and motorhome gas installations. Somewhere out there there will be a valve with all metal parts that passes the test and costs so much nobody buys it.
i think all new regulators have to be mounted on something in caravan/motor homes so that might be why it has that on it
