I'd like a new cooker, mine looks a bit gash IMO. It has to fit in a certain space, so...

Must be no bigger than 470mm wide, 400mm deep and 125mm high.
    Must also have a grill.

Can be folding as long as operation is simple.

  2. I've got one in the shed. Double gas with grill. Will dig it out tomorrow. Also got a colmans dual fuel thing that runs off petrol.

  3. Ive not seen one of those with a grill
If its the one im thinking off then i had one years ago and it boiled a kettle quicker than any other camping cooker ive owned
Obviously steve has first dibs but what would you be wanting for it?

  4. Cheese on toast is a must:thumbsup:

  5. This one's got two burners but no grill. It's a 424 like the one below but scruffier. Pretty cool thing but no toast - fried bread only. The gas one has a grill.

  6. How much tommy?

  7. Oh, I dunno, you can probably have it. I'd say buy me a beer but I'm trying not to drink! I think I paid £20 from the car boot. Since then it's sat in the shed. Might need some TLC. I can't really post it but could bring it to techenders.

  8. Its only fair zed has first dibs on it:)

But if its not what he needs ill pay you £20 for it at techenders if thats ok with you

Not for me, don't wanna be cooking on petrol in the van. :)

  10. I must admit I'm slightly frightened of it... although I think it's probably a bit irrational - gas is pretty explosive, too. Plus you save space as you can just siphon it out of the bus tank when you run out of fuel ;)

I'm not really to bothered about money for either of these. Don't want to post but could bring to Techenders.

Anyway pics below, first up the gas one, a GoSystem Quattro. Measures 50x30x17cm so might be a bit big for Zed but now I've taken the photos I'll stick it up anyway...being an odd shape (grill section is smaller than the top) it's possible you might be able to make it work. The feet and lid add to the size, could be removed. Been sat in the shed for a while so grubby and some minor surface rust on the internal steel but looks usable and should clean up OK. The grill pan is not shown but is in good condition, it's been stored indoors.

Here's the Coleman. I can't decide whether it's rat look or "patina", but it did work when last fired up. Fresh fuel and a check of the seals etc probably a good idea. They're expensive new, and very well rated. Spares are available!

I don't know what this one was up to while I was digging them out of the shed but he seemed to be having fun.

  13. I have a couple of built in hob/grill combos. designed to fit in a box so grill height is up to you. I know you don't want a devon one as the central knob is too low. Depends how (ungash) you want it to be tbh as these are well used.

But do they conform to the dimensions? You've seen mine - It's functional but I'd like something either new and shiney or old and stylish. The more style, the less the condition matters. :)

  15. Pretty standard fare to be honest but can dig em out and do some pics at the weekend. Think I may have done already but possibly only one of them.
