Very smart and tidy ..even if the front panel looks like a basking sharks mouth scooping up a load of krill .

Cooler and more versatile than a common Vw camper van?

I’d say he needs education and to get off his Del Boy horse myself!

For the benefit when the link stops working:

    1971 Renault Estafette Campervan.

Van was manufactured in 1971 in France and was imported to the UK in 2017 where it was lovingly restored with fresh paintwork and a modern campervan interior.

The Renault Estafette is a clever design and arguably cooler and more versatile than the common VW Campervans.

It is a very reluctant sale as is a lot of fun to drive but ultimately I have too many cars in the household. The vehicle has featured in the Local Annual Magazine and creates a lot of interest wherever it goes.

    Estafette Features
    - Sliding driver's door which can be left open whilst driving.
    - Front Engine with good access.
    - Clever French engineering.
    - 4 Seats with Seat belts.
    - Left Hand Drive.
    - Cheap insurance at £120 a year through Sterling insurance.
    - MOT and Tax Exempt.

    Camper Interior
    - Rock and Roll bed that slides out to sleep 2 and folds up to seat 2 inside with 2 out of the back doors.
    - Electric Front Leather Seats.
    - 12 Volts Leisure Battery with isolation switch.
    - 12 Volt & USB chargers in the dash and rear.
    - 12 Volt Lighting.
    - USB / CD Head Unit with 6 x 9 speakers.
    - Interior lined with black carpet.
    - Storage under the seats.
    - Options to add a sink, gas stove and table.

    Engine & Transmission
    - Engine is strong and used in many other Renault's.
    - 4 Speed Manual Gearbox.
    - Front Wheel Drive.
    - Max speed is approximately 65mph.

    Bodywork
    - Re-sprayed in Old English White in 2017.
    - Holds a good shine.
    - Some small rust bubbles present in places but these are minor and hard to notice.

    Wheels, Tyres & Brakes
    - Good tyres all round.
    - Brakes have been fully serviced this month.

    Servicing & History
    - There is a local Estafette specialist near Finchingfield, Essex who can supply parts and servicing to these vehicles. Parts are also available on various websites and French eBay as they are a common sight in France.
    - Their simplicity means a novice can easily maintain them.
    - Service History from 2017.

    Recent Service
    - Brake system service.
    - Oil change.
    - New spark plugs
    - Replacement carburetta & tune up so it runs like new.
    - Timing set correctly.
    - Replacement CV boots.
    - Window Seals replaced.
    - New Exhaust

Nice. There was a cracking one a year or two back with a proper smart fit out in the back.

I like that @Razzyh :) the thing with these old French ones, apart from being fab, is that they seem to have the headroom to stand up in.

I live the Peugeot J7 and J9. Particularly the like this with the sliding front door/s and rear stable doors

I love them but I would imagine the availability of spare parts/repair panels etc is nowhere near that of a dub.

Why would you design a driver's door that slides inside? Where does all the water go if it's been raining?
That dash/pod is veeeery Fraaaanch non?

I don’t think that I actually meant you MC, I may have been referring to Mrs Ozziedog who is petitter than petite at about seven or eight stone soaking wet and less than five foot in the vertical category ;) She is a not a big fan of me occasionally mentioning that she is of the stumpy variety :theforce:

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,did I just get away with it using that tiny tiny fib ?:);):)
