camber and tracking

just had a quote of 40-50 quid for camber and tracking to be done on my bus.

That reasonable?

 

very, if they do it properly.....

 

If they know how to adjust your camber...

 

it's quite involved....especially rear wheel alignment

 

Are Camber and Tracking a firm of solicitors?

 

Think you'll find they were the characters in a 80's crime series of the same name.

Camber was a woman. Tracking was her horse.

 

Lazer tracking - if done properly is superb....
Transformed my van after a "reputable garage" in Leeds replaced the nearside ball joints and assured me all was well . Total ***** . The tyre scrubbed off within 100 miles .
Took it to the good local garage who'd just got a new lazer aligner .
Took em about an hour but transformed the van .
Highly recommend .

 

I got the local ATS Euromaster to do it right - I left the Bentley manual open on the correct page on the driver's seat.

They did the tracking and got the steering wheel straight at the same time - easier because my bus has two adjustable links in the steering.

And it was much better - when I took the bus to ATS, I had scrubbed a set of front tyres down to the steel on one edge of both tyres in 10k miles even though the rest of the tread was legal , as the scrubbed strip was so narrow.
