calling all westy owners

  1. Don't know weather I'm in the right section but here goes. Does anyone have any photo's or dimensions of where the press studs screw to the windscreen surround and doors for the large cab window curtain on a late westy Berlin. cheers in advance

  2. Sorry I don't have them in my late Berlin either. We got one of those cab door and windscreen covers that wrap outside the vehicle and have a flap over each door to secure them. Got it from Bromsgrove Auto-trimmers. Not expensive and works a treat as you don't get all the condensation inside the screen that you do with thermo blinds.

  3. Cheers that would be great:) looking to keep van as stock looking as possible.A friend has the exterior wrap around cover on his early and swears by it

  4. If you look at the door frame there are two sort of triangular depressions stamped in the metal. One of the studs goes to the front of the front triangle, the other in the centre of the rear triangle. There's another pair on the opposite side and that's all on mine though I've got some smaller popper studs on the B post for the divider curtain which separates off the cab area from behind. I think you'd only use these if you have kids sleeping in front hammocks. All will come clear when pkrboo sends in his pics.

The curtain attaches to the mirror with a leather boot lace and has elastic along the top edge.

  6. As in the Jokers pics that's where my studs are, we drop the sun visors to hold curtain in place and tuck behind the centre mirror. Main problem is the curtain across the sliding door so have attached some hooks so it hangs rolled just behind the front seat with a new popper stud and tie back here. When pulled across its hooks onto a coat hook (white round one) by the curtain track.

  7. Cheers everyone for the replies much appreciated :) I will get my mum on with making my new cab curtain now ive got the correct position of the mounting presstuds
