Cable next to brake pedal

  1. Hi everyone

I'm showing up my lack of knowledge here, but we all have to start somewhere.

While replacing my clutch cable at the pedal end, I wiggled an electrical cable that was grounded at the cylinder under to the brake pedal (what's this called?).

Anyway, the cable broke. I assumed it was the switch for the brake lights, but the brake lights still operate.

    What might this cable be?

    Thanks

    Oli

  2. Possibly the horn wire, try see if that works>

  3. Good shout yorkieman. It no longer sounds, but does dim the oil warning and alternator lights when the ignition is on and I can hear the horn button spark when pressed.
