Cab glass falling out of the window winder runner /holder

Hi all im hoping some one can help me quickly .

one of my window winders keeps letting the glass go and loosing control of the glass needing it to be slid back up and down by hand how is the glass normally kept in ? it holds it for a day or to then lets go again . is it the metal U channel holding the glass or the black plastic insert ? can they be tightened up at all ?

I think we had a similar issue with ours. I put the metal channel in a vice to snug it up a bit.

 

ok thanks guys suspected as much when re fitting should It press on by hand or a gentile tap with a mallet maybe some silicone to help it slip on and hold it there once on ?
