Cab door seals, top quality?

Discussion in 'Mech Tech' started by normuk, Sep 26, 2016.

  1. Bought a bundle of seals and all is great except for the cab door seals. Shouldnt have gone repro as they dont appear to be a great fit. Can anyone recommend where to get good 'top quality' ones for a 76 bay?

Got mine from Coolair - about £45 each - but think Scholfields, C&C all sell the same ones for similar money.

  3. Was thinking schofields as usually good quality and was where the bundle kit came from. Will teach me to be a penny pincher!

  4. I also made the mistake of going budget on door seals - 18 months later were in bits. I think I went with Heritage in the end for around 40 beans each

  5. Schofields in the end £45 each and fitted like a dream. Bit of contact adhesive to long side abutting the cab front and to two top corners for good measure. Doors sound like true vw now and waiting to see what the rain does! Luckily just had a full resto so pins popped out easily from the door stays and all done in an hour.
