Ouch ..... That`s where they all go You`d think Schofields or somebody would start making repair panels . They make them for the curved section above the wheelarch and back towards the rear corner but not the areas where they ALL rot and its virtually impossible to repair unless you`re a very good fabricator . £400 is a good price for a second hand one , some are advertised for double that . £400 jeez - i paid that for my first van with a years T&T , it`s bonkers ....
That's a scraper mate eBay and Facebook mate I got mine for £125 solid had to drive 5 hours round trip but soon as they go up they sell Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’ve just been looking on eBay and Facebook Loads of rotten knackered Marmitee at silly prices You’ve landed lucky with that door I may have to get creative with the fibreglass to keep this one going a while longer to give me time to find a good one
@paradox Is this any use to you: https://www.alanhschofield.com/ourp...t-Under-Door-Repair-Left-6879-211831105D.html they are a pretty good fit, we used one along with a new door skin.
That`s the only one they do Mark , mostly the doors start to go at the front and rear corners - by the time the middle goes the corners will be trashed anyway ... I got really lucky and bought a decent one on ebay for 175 , went to collect it and he said there was a second one i might as well take away for a tenner and both were solid underneath . Both needed a reskin but ok for about 350 all in
its a pity that the other repair section is no longer available, they would be very popular! Sadly, I don't know of any doors sat around.
A bit fiddly, but would be a doddle for Schofields/Autocraft to make something to repair it with you'd think! Guess the demand isn't there?
Great work The demand is certainly there and i really don`t know why no-one is offering corner repair panels ...?
They are not that hard to repair, just very time consuming and an absolute pain. Mine were worse than that and turned out fine. I think they took about 1.5 days each though!
I heard that Schofields used to make the lower repair section.. apparently the press part broke .. It's a tricky part to form .. But a few people have done it.. Often thought.... A glass fibre lower section could be made from a sound door.. Then grafted into the door with a new skin..
