cab door handle

Hi,

the key on the drivers door handle just rotates and doesn't move the lever thing on the back. Can I buy one of the new handles and change the barrels over or could there be a simpler fix?

i would take the thing apart and see if there's a easy fix

there is a very good guide to re keying locks on the samba linked on this forum before and vzi

this guide will tell you how it all works and take apart and put beck together

if you don't want to have a go your self and you get up to St Austell call in on Rob in the key cutting/cobblers stall in Almer square he will do the job for you

 

A new handle's likely to be the Brazilian type, so it'll have a different kind of key.

 

Thanks for the replies. Might have a go at stripping it myself, just wondered what my options were if it proved unfixable.

Scotty that's what I thought might be the case, will need to look out for a used one on fleaBay.

i would try and pick up a used one cheap and use the 2 handles to make 1 good one
