Bus parts in the house?

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by paradox, Jul 17, 2012.

  1. What parts of your bus do you have in the house at the moment?

Ive the interior cupboards sat in the hallway at the moment
Those of you that have met my wife will have heard the complaints about only getting the kitchen table back the day before xmas as i was painting mechanical components
Not to mention the arguments over 3 carbs in bits on the kitchen table for 3 weeks lol

  2. None at all :) her in doors remains happy - did have a Westy awning and the Fiamma roof box up until a few weeks ago, She was not happy bout that

The only bus part I have is a diagnostic plug socket in the display case. Big whoop I know but I do have a Beetle engine lid awaiting fitting to the hallway wall. You know, like you do :)

  4. Best not to ask us that question at the moment - don't think there is anywhere in the whole place that doesn't have a bus part in it! ::) Still as soon as the weather turns that will all change

  5. A few interior trim items just arrived from Coolair, otherwise nothing. My Mrs would not be very understanding if I started working on car parts in the house, although in the old days I did do an engine in the hallway of a rented house. I built a big shed as a workshop a few years ago and nobody else is allowed in, so whatever I'm working on (Westy windows at the moment) can be left out as work in progress so I can dip in at any time.

  6. Er...
Under the stairs houses the tailgate, engine lid (1) and bumpers. The back room has the dash front and top, slatty window, two boxes of parts and engine lid (2). Outside on the terrace is the engine and the mini shed thing with more bits in. And at my wife's bosses house is the van and all the panels, my welder and my motorbike. So my van is spread all over Ipswich.
