  1. I'm very happy with my 1641cc T1 engine. As has been said, Bays are supposed to pootle and the 1600 is fine!

  3. I meet a lady at a classic car meet last year that’s in the process of fitting a Prius hibrid into an prototype bay

I’ll keep you up to date when I next see her

On a slightly different note, but the same sort of subject. A friend of mine has put a BMW K1100 engine in his restored Hillman Imp. Nothing can touch it!

    A row of chainsaw engines..

  8. I have a 2.0l type 4 on 40 IDF’s. Perfect as I see it. Can climb Lakeland summits. The Weber’s make it snort and it sounds fine.

  10. How do you find working on a type 4. Are they easy to live with?

175cc pit bike engine into a mobility scooter? My friend actually did this, with my old mans. Great fun.

The Type 4 is a very simple engine and easier to work on than a Type 1.
Just don’t overtighten the oil strainer bolt.:)

  19. Easy as pie. I’ve never pulled the strainer bolt off but it’s a simple motor and it’s fairly accessible.
