Bumper paint

What is the best way to freshen up my bumpers. They are rock solid with a bit of road rash basically. not sure if i should get them powder coated or just paint them.

it doesnt even look like they were painted before tbh not sure what the finish is

 

I would just spray with Hammerite or Rustoleum. If you've got the money powder coating I guess would be nice

2k at a body shop , bumpers won't be to expensive to do, if you sand um back even less

It would look great in chrome but hate to think how much it would cost to chrome plate them - not much change from £500. I'm looking to powder coat mine - will be checking prices next week. Should they be pure white or a pastel ?

 

Don't do them "white" they will look cheap and nasty.

 

2-pack Pastel White You'll have to take out a second mortgage to get them chromed properly.

I defo don't want chrome it was just Ricky messing about. Chrome don't get you home!!

Plus white goes with my whole look, just starting to get annoyed at rusty looking bits

 

I mean bright Hammerite white - looks garish IMO.

 

Yeah want something like what they were originally guess it will be L90D

 

Had my wheels powder coated in RAL9010.

ok cool,

i painted my wheels about 4 years ago with 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of white rustoleum but they are going rusty already. they are gonna get a touch up as well.

 

yet I found mine looked grubby in the original l90d. I repainted the top of the bus in brilliant white and did bumpers and wheels to match. Makes the bottom colour look less drab too
