Hi All I am thinking of buying a bug tech shifter has anyone got one and have you had any problems. Would love to hear your views thanks
I had one briefly on my (now long gone) Karmann Ghia. It was nicely made and looked good but the throw was v short. Not just 1st to 2nd but across the box into 3rd. I couldn’t get on with it and went back to a Hurst trigger shifter. Stock shifter on my crew cab. Stirlingmoz
Have one on my bay, very well made and fitted easily. As above it is a very short shift which initially took a bit of getting used too but after youve driven it a few times i like it. Only thing i might adjust is the tension springs for reverse stop but thats down to personal preference.
Bought one but didn’t fit it (swmbo said it wasn’t in keeping with the vintage bus interior) so sold on and bought a berg instead v good quality but as others have said the throw is very short.
