Hi Camper Friends I have just completed my interior for my 77 bay window camper. I made two buddy seats that I am no longer going to fit due to a recent interior change of plans. I am a professional carpenter/joiner so each seat has been made to a high standard, incorporating jig routed curves to give the seat that soft look. The back seat section and seat section have been set 25mm below the outer panels to provide a lip for the 2 inch foam (if you choose to upholster it). The timber is solid birch ply which is a lovely light, exquisitely grained wood that I did all my interior from and looks great. End grain was dealt with by fitting T Trim and the only end grain on show in the pictures are both worked so the foam of the upholstery covers it. Flush hinges fitted allowing you to lift the seat and provides a deceptively large storage space inside. Each seat has been finished in 3 coats of diamond X10 clear varnish, which is very hard wearing and enhances the grain beautifully. So go on treat your bus, and get rid of those storage problems!
