broken down

What a great start to a Friday. Broken down on the way to Basingstoke with a snapped alternator strap. Grrrrr. Nevermind my long suffering Dad has been dragged out of bed to pop over to JK as soon they open. Nothing to do but sit and have a brew till he arrives.

 

Bad news - Are you sat in the van with your brew?

 

Yup. Managed to pull off the A339 down a farm track. Now boiling the kettle and watching the sun rise and the mist clear whilst I wait for the part to arrive! Sods law - nothing in my box of parts in the boot that I can use to get me going. Don't think my boss is gonna be too happy with me!

 

Now cursing my lack of foresight - No biscuits :

 

hope you have a nice tea .... i have broken down before and even cooked my dinner in the van whilst waiting for the AA

 

Ships in the night. Just saw your post, it's not usual for me to be on the site now, normally a night person. But left a question i wanted and answer for.

Anyway i bet i was only a few minutes/miles from you and i have a spare belt.
That doesnt help now though does it. By the time u see this JK's will be open, and i am at work

I did have biscuits in my van but always ended up raiding them at night at home when I got the munchies.
