  1. Type 4 2ltr
    Progressive Carb

Ran fine from Oxford to Folstone services.

Tried starting again after coming out of services and it won't idle, just keeps dropping out. I've driven it from there to Dover but keeps dropping out at junctions. Any ideas?

  2. Idle jet blockage? Have any of the pipes come loose? Vac pipe for the Servo?

  3. No vac.

What's the best way to check the jet?

  4. It over revs to begin with then cuts out.

  5. Do you not have a vacuum take off for the servo from the manifold? It does sound fuel related and both jet blockage and air leaks can cause this. I think the idle jets live on the sides of the carb. Two brass slotted screws. The jets live in those. Have you got access to youtube?

Where do I find the idle jet. Do I need to back the mixture screw right out?
