Just set off for home and this started happening. What do you think it is, sounds like it’s coming from the front.
Which, though you're hearing it in the front, could well be CV joints. Does it ease off if you lift off the accelerator?
It doesn’t ease off, when I lift of the accelerator, think I felt it when I was pushing on brake pedal, while stopping the van
Check your wheel nuts ... there are those on here who know the sound. Or CV joints.. It sounds too fast for one rotation of the wheel..
Check the tyres are not so worn that the tread is come away from the steel band, it can act like a whip going around
So, while waiting for the RAC to turn up, I checked the front wheel and found three wheel nuts that where loose. Cancelled the RAC and started on my home. All good again until a kamikaze pigeon hit us with 10 miles to go.
Thats not the original as it looks laminated. With the original, a quick punch and this happens... Mind you driving home glad you are wearing long trousers and some boots as the glass is all over your lap is no fun.. along with hoping the blood stops dripping off your hand..
Oh dear remember toCover the heater outlets before you remove the rest of it, Otherwise it blows out bits of glass for ages… I found this out
