breakdown cover - modern vehicle - hsbc advance?

anyone got a hsbc account and know if you get inclusive breakdown? my green flag is due renewal, i'm tempted to bin it off if i have it with bank but can't find any paperwork.

If you already have an advance account you will be entitled to personal breakdown cover, including roadside assistance, home service (providing you opened your account after 1st October 2012), local and national recovery, and taxi fare cover.

 

probably nest to ring and ask your bank though

 

cool, i only ask 'cos they upgraded me for free a few weeks ago from standard to advance, i will ring them or pop in to my branch.

 

Don't think they do it for new customers anymore

 

ahhh yes i see, just re-read - that's probably why i got no info.... oh well, just had renewal through with green flag gone up so i'm narked off - never used them, think i'll cancel and re join as new member like last year.

 

Or new member to RAC or AA

 

rac mentally higher for equivalent cover

 

Change to Barclay's I get free full RAC cover

 

You can use Tesco club card points for RAC cover of you have any. I have RAC, Barclay's RAC and packaged cover on the van policy. Well covered

Surely you simply won't break down, isn't that a major factor in why you turncoats buy them? If that's the future it doesn't seem much different to the past, just an uglier shape really.

There's a bigger risk if a modern vehicle does breakdown it would not be a loose wire/fuel like a bay, I'm a realist, I need my 1 vehicle to get me there/back breakdown cover is a necessary evil.

 

Buy the misses a length of rope ,that is my breakdown cover...

If I breakdown miles away on holiday ,I plan to just stay there ,the world will keep turning without me...

 

The co-op bank does international breakdown cover and mobile phone insurance on its privalage account

 

don't think its available to new customers anymore though

 

dont waist your money on insurance , if you breakdown your have to weigh it in ,you wont be able to afford the parts n labour simples.

 

So breakdown cover and prayers to a diety that the garage bill won't be too much?
