you'll find them stacked up next to the unicorns. I think there's a place in Holland that makes repro ones, but they are eye wateringly expensive and the postage is enough to have them hand delivered.
https://www.justkampers.com/brake-warning-lamp-lens-vw-t2-bay-1967-1979.html On backorder, UK only. https://www.bus-ok.de/Type2-bay-window-Glass-for-Brake-Control-Lamp-BUS-ok-exclusive#false €9.20 from Bus-OK but if they’ll ship to the UK postage will be very expensive.
Cheers, yeah JK has been on back order for over 12 months. Bus-ok nein shippen til Blighty du brexit kunsterbuzt schitzen or something… know any helpful europhiles who’d take delivery from them for me and pop in an envelope to the rain?
I did find that thread but it was a few years ago from memory. There’s an ebay guy in the USSA with a bag full. I’ve asked him how much to post. If it’s reasonable I’ll post back here to see if anyone else wants one
That's the sausage, I remember it being about £15. That was before Brexit and import duties, delays etc etc.
If only it were as easy as popping it in an envelope. I can get them to ship to me but it’s not cheap and getting anything from Europe to the UK needs customs declaration and the postage costs are ridiculous. And it works the other way, I’ve given up buying from the UK, it’s just not worth the hassle. If you can wait until I travel to the UK I’ll get one and take it with me, but I’m not expecting to visit until October – and that might be cancelled the way the UK is heading with Corona.
@77 Westy Red tape for red lights hey. I’ll hopefully get one before then but if not, I’ll give you a holler in the autumn kind sir.
Part availability claxon! These are apparently available from JK UK - just ordered one and it should arrive next Friday. The guy in the states who has them listed on ebay is unable to do anything about the £25 postage cost so I was out at that point - I don’t want one that much.
JK website still says on back order? Serial Kombi had them in stock last time I looked and they’ll ship to the UK.
Dunno, maybe they found one down the back of a preservation parts sofa? Either that or - most likely - it’s a software glitch designed to get my hopes up and buy other stuff to avoid postage costs… it’s supposed to be on its way though. We’ll see but I’m not holding my breath…
Matt did a group buy years ago, I had a couple off him. Maybe he has some down the back of the sofa? @pkrboo any left.
I bought one at Volksworld show in the auto jumble hall. A bloke there sold new ones on his stall. But it was 8 or 9 quid if I remember right!
