you'd be surprised....trying to teach a 10 year old lad with mild autism on tuesday, who still had stabilizers....he was convinced he couldn't balance....had him standing on one leg, then the other....took me all my time just to get him to sit on the bike, then he threw a wobbler...he lives next door to one of the biggest (safest) parks in Bolton, with about 3 miles of smooth paved trails and easy off road...when i was chatting to his SEN at school, she said he isn't allowed to play outside, on his bike or otherwise....Now clearly his parents know him much better than i do, but the school are seriously concerned about him because he has the equivalent physique and muscle tone of a six year old...he is aspergers....not made of glass....poor boy

indeed, I went there as a pupil. One of our blocks slopes so much things roll down the desks. The kids are always picking stuff up off the floor. It stopped moving after thousands of pounds of underpinning.

love doing the cycle training round Little Lever: top butty shop (Megabutts, near the roundabout) and the canal access to Moses Gate.....

I do, as a matter of fact....they're planning to put it back to water and currently rebuilding Wilson's Bridge.....they've just finished a Meccano bridge as well (posted on an unrelated thread the other day).
Peel holdings have bought The Bridgewater canal frontage, so i'm just hoping they're not fattening up the Bolton Bury and Fletcher Canals to flog it off for executive development....

I really miss having Brabbin and Rudd close by. Always had what I wanted - or got it quick and the entertainment was fantastic, especially if Dibnah was in there - boy did they take the pee out of him!

I was at Prestolee today, and came back via St Jame's up towards Highfield road....had a nosey in the staff car park but couldn't see a bus....presume you use something more dependable to get to work
