When rain clouds used to appear over the horizon my mum used to say "it's a bit dark over Bill's mothers"....when I questioned her who this person was she said "I don't know but somebody over there must have a son called Bill"
You only had to ask! I had an Uncle Bob, he was a lovely gentle giant. I've got an Aunty Frances, but if I called her Aunt Fanny I'm sure I wouldn't live to tell the tale
I've actually learnt something today: that Fanny is short for Frances, not that you've got one. An Aunt that is. (I give up - there's no way of stopping this sounding rude...)
Wait a minute, this is what my auntie and uncle done; swapped partners with their friends. It must be the same people so does that mean I'm your great niece or something?
Ok, no worries. Just in case you're interested I could also introduce you to my neighbour Gordon Bennett.
I had a uncle bob ,his brother was called Albert ,my nephew is called Rob after Bob... Bob used to always give my 10 bob when I visited ,that was everytime I was skint ,which was often... him and Albert were gardeners.... Their sister is called Dot...(she is still alive )
